2 Giorni Ticino will be held in 2 stages. Saturday – first stage: individual race. Sunday – second stage: individual race with chase start. The total time of two stages will give the final ranking. |

| Entry: |

| Clothes: |
There are no restrictions on the type of the clothing. Spike shoes are not allowed in Swiss forest. All other orienteering shoes are allowed. |

Courses are printed on the maps for all categories |
| SI-Card: |
Each runner has to carry his own SI-Card. It is possible to rent a SI-Card at the EC, per CHF 2. - per day.
Competitors must use the same SI-Card for the first and the second stage.
Please, inform the information desk at the EC if the number of your SI-Card was changed after the inscription or was not given in time of the inscription. |
| Controls: |
Electronic punching system Sportident is used. Insert your SI-Card into the control unit and wait for the acoustic signal (bip) and the red light. If for some reason the control unit does not function properly, use manual punching on the map.
Category Troll (Kids) has normal controls with manual punching. |
| Bibs: |
For the second stage at Sunday every competitor except OK, OM, OL and Troll will be given a race number, which should be placed on the chest. Race numbers should be picked up at the EC. |
| Non-finishers: |
All runners are required to pass the finish line, including those runners who do not complete the whole course. If they reach the EC, they have to show their SI-Card at the information desk. |
| Sport Shops: |
There will be sport shops at the EC. |
| First aid: |
Near the finish areas. All competitors have to assist other runners in case of an accident |
| Refreshment: |
Rivella after the race. |
| Protests: |
Any protest should be given to organizers in a written form as soon as possible, not later than 1 hour after closing the finish at the EC Information desk. There is no fee for a complaint.
The applicant has to be present till the jury decision. |

| Fair-play: |
All competitors shall behave with fairness and honesty. It is not allowed to bring the previous and old maps along to the competition areas. A competitor who breaks any rule, or benefits from the breaking of any rule, may be disqualified. |
| Prize giving ceremony: |
Sunday at 13.30 at the EC, Middle school in Bedigliora. |
| Prizes: |
DAL/HAL: prizes for the first 5 places; others categories: prizes for the first 3 places; D/H 10 little prize for every competitor; OL, OM, OK: prize for the 1st place for the second stage; Troll: little prize for every competitor for both days.
Prizes will be given only to competitors who will be present at the ceremony.
The prize for the best O-Club in Ticino TMS will be given at the next O-event in Ticino. |
| Insurance: |
Participants are responsible for their own insurance. Foreign participants should check that their insurance is valid in Switzerland. The organizers disclaim any liability. |
| Results: |
Provisional results lists will be continuously updated and posted at the EC.
The complete results list will be made available on internet at http://2giorni.coaget.ch and http://www.swiss-orienteering.ch. |
| Lost and found: |
Found items may be handed to the EC information desk. Lost items should be claimed there as well. After the event you can claim for the lost items using the contact information below. |

EC-pre-start 45 min. (2.3 km + 200 m climb) to walk for all classes.
Categories D/H10, D/H12, H70 and Open short can use the bus transport.
Category Troll: start and finish near EC. Start allowed between 14.00 and 18.00. |

Control descriptions will be printed on the front side of all competition maps. Copies of the control descriptions will also be available as part of the start procedure, at minute -3.

| Pre-start: |
You walk through the exit-gate to your start point 4 min. before start. In the first start box you must clear and check your SI-Card. |
| Start procedure: |
In the last box each runner has to punch a SI-Unit before he goes to the map box labelled with the correct class and waits in front of the map box for the remaining part of the minute, without looking at the map.
At the start time the runner takes the map out of the box and follows the marked route to the start point which is indicated by a control flag in the terrain and a triangle on the competition map. This distance is 80 m after the start. |

Only at EC. |
| Clothes transfer: |
There will be no clothing transfer available from start to the refreshment area, except in the case of bad weather. Please leave the clothes in the special area on the way to the start, 5 min. before the starting area. |
| Refreshment: |
Pure drinking water will be available on the way to the start, 5 minutes from the start area. No refreshment is prepared in the forest. |
| Courses: |
Please respect prohibited and private areas.
An obligatory passage (280m) is marked for the categories D18, DAL, D35, D40, H18, HAL, HAK, H35, H40 and H45.
The passage of 90m marked with flags between controls 3 and 4 for the categories H12, D12, OK. |
| Maps at finish: |
Maps will not be collected. Please remember the fair play. |
| Finish: |
There are two different finish arenas. When the runner reaches the finish line, the SI-Card must be placed into the Finish control units placed directly on the finish line. The time is recorded and the race is over.

Start time of the first runner in each category is different, please check the table.
Open classes have a separate start box. |
| Pre-start: |
You walk through the exit-gate to your start point 5 min. before start. In the begin of the box you must clear and check your Si-card. Than you have to line in the sequence of the race numbers and follow the official’s order. |
| Start procedure: |
Runners have to take the map from the box labelled with the correct category after the start signal. Then follow a marked route to the start point which is indicated by a control flag in the terrain and a triangle on the competition map. This distance is 50 m after the start.
Participants who lost less than 40 minutes on the first stage start with the cumulated difference. The others (including those who didn’t start or classify on the first stage) start in a regular manner with 1 minute interval.
OL, OM, OK and Troll start with 1 minute interval (no pursuit). |

Finish line will determine the ranking. Punch the finish unit placed just behind the finishing line. When 2 runners are together at the finish line, the ranking will be drawn. |
